Rotational Casting is a method of heating a hollow mold which is filled with material and then slowly rotated until the material cools. Once removed from the molding, the newly formed material retains the shape of the mold.
This method of casting allows to maintain an even thickness of material throughout the body of the object, and the mold continues to rotate throughout the cooling process to avoid any deformations or sagging.
The major benefit of rotational casting is being able to create hollow objects in a variety of materials. This method of molding can be used to creating anything from kayak hulls or stormtrooper armor to full-sized shelters.
